"While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is all about."
With the weather not exactly helping a natural light loving photographing mama out I decided to post a little something to brighten things up a little bit! Photography is very much my passion but I would have never knew I loved it had it not been for that beautiful fun filled daughter of mine!
I've been having a hard time staying motivated lately with Mother Nature not being very supportive of Spring this year. It's very unlikely for me not to have my camera in my hands, so when it cam to being a couple days with no camera in steps that wonderful little daughter of mine! Bright and early she was in my room this morning asking if we could go to the park and play and "Mommy you need to bring you camera to take new pictures of me!" While I have to admit I loved her enthusiasm today wasn't exactly park day weather so we had a inside day instead. You forget how sweet they are sometimes in those moments where they think no one's watching! Seeing her imagination run wild even though she couldn't do what she originally wanted to was just amazing! Instead of a park day it turned in dancing, singing, cooking, coloring... You name it we were doing it today! How nice it must be to just go on a whim and let nothing stop you from having a fantastic day!
To say this adorable soon to be 5 year old is my inspiration I feels does not begin to put things into perspective! Everyday she finds new ways to make me smile, new ways to tell me she loves me (today's comment "I love you more than Earth, and that's my favorite planet!") and gives me new memories that make me want to grab my camera and snap a picture just to keep that moment alive! Crazy how kids can bring out the best in us! I'm thankful everyday for her and how regardless if she realizes it or not she's pushing me to follow my dreams!
I'm not sure who was more excited for the nice weather today! I was happy to be able to get out with my camera while little miss was just happy to run and play at the park! Sure hoping that this time around Spring decides to stick around I love being able to get out of the house and watch her burn off some of that cabin fever! How can you not love it when you see faces like these? They simply make my day regardless of how bad it may have been.
I had the privilege to do this shoot the other day! This was for the 100 Likes giveaway winner and timing could not have been any better as little man is trying pretty hard to make his grand entrance! The only negative comment I could possibly make is that Mother Nature was certainly not on our side! Regardless of a miserable day these 2 shivered through the cold like true champs! I'm certainly thrilled with how these turned out and can't wait to shoot Mr. Marcus when he chooses to arrive! Bring on that baby fever!
