I can't believe our time together is over! The year always seems to go by so fast, I've yet to find a way to slow it down. I love how happy this not so little man always is, and even more so how infectious those baby blues of his are along with that smile. Not only did we do his last session we added on a family photo shoot to the end just to put the cherry on top! I loved everything about these shoots from the family, to the location, to the smiles.... Just love all of it! Here are some of my favorites!
Annnnnd here is the cutest family on the planet!
I love this tine of year, I love the color changes and the excitement of Christmas being right around the corner. I especially love being able to catch up with old friends while capturing some ridiculously amazing family photos. This mama and I go way back so I was beyond honored when she contacted me asking if I would be up for doing their family portraits this year. Honestly though look at them.... how could I have said no? Everything came into line for us this session, I honestly can't complain about any of it! So with that being said here are some of my favorites :)
I wish these littles wouldn't grow up so fast! It still feels like yesterday when I did this cutie's newborn photos and now he's a year already. Maybe my denial is why this post is coming so late haha! We had awesome weather for out cake smash session a few weeks back which helped make for some great photos. I loved how our session turned out, here are a few of my favorites... go ahead try not to smile...
Its actually starting to feel like fall now isn't it? The temperature is dropping quickly now and I've already started pulling out the chunky sweaters and increased my coffee intake (after all how else am I going to keep my hands warm right?) On the topic of how much I love fall here is another one of my sessions that I loved! I have been photographing this little one since she was in her mama's belly. It's always amazing to see how much they've grown, and I will NEVER get sick of seeing that infectious smile of hers. The fact that little lady was dressed like her Mama right down to matching converse was just an added smile factor! Without any further delay here are some of my top picks from our latest session.
How can you not get sucked in by this face?
It's no secret that Fall is my favorite time of year. I love almost everything about it, but my favorite part is the colors that come with it. What could make my fall better??? Well hanging out with this family of course! I've been photographing these boys since they were born (one of which right from maternity) so it's always a pleasure to see them again and how much they've grown... getting Momma in the photos this year was a nice bonus! The weather for our shoot wasn't exactly ideal and by the time we agreed to pull the plug it had started to pour, however these kiddos smiles can brighten even the dreariest days. Here are some of my favorites from our session!
Who's excited for fall photos????
How insane is it that the leaves are already changing colors and we're finding the temperature drop already? You know what that means though don't you....FALL PHOTOS!! It's truly my favorite time of year to take photos so I'm finding it hard to contain myself that its time to write up this post. Everyone wants to look good for their photo session so here are a few tips and photo examples to help get you started in the right direction...
I simply love working with this family! Never a dull moment, and always sure to have a laugh! The fact that mom and I are friends is just a added bonus. Its crazy to me how much the kids have grown since our last session together... how does that always seem to happen with kids regardless of their age? I loved the location that we picked for this years shoot and think that we may or may not have to go there again, even though we missed most of the leaves it was still stunning to see! Here's a look at how our session went.
I'm so excited to share this post with you! This session was a special one for me because Big Brother was my very first newborn I ever photographed ( and look at him now!!!) and now he's a big brother to a handsome little man. This mama is certainly going to have her hands full when they get older I tell you, I know I'm totally sucked in! The smiles from this session are brought to you via kinder surprise eggs, and zoo animals haha, ahhh the simple things in life! These photos are my favorite from our session together i can not wait to see these guys again we had so much fun!
This post is coming late but things have been busy so I'm trying to get all caught up now! I loved this session for so many reasons. Despite starting it off with a bit of rain things turned out pretty good for us. I fell in love with this location almost immediately, the colors, the trees, the creek... everything. Having 2 pretty fantastic models.... well that was just a added bonus haha! I've been photographing this little one since she was in her mama's belly and its been amazing to see her grow. I love her smiles and giggles and the fact that I can understand her when she talks now, but time really does fly by too fast. Here are a few of my favorite shots from this shoot, I hope you love them as much as I do!
It's that time of year again, time to start thinking about fall photos and what outfits to wear to make your session perfect. Here are a few tips and ideas to get you going . These are just suggestions to get the ball rolling for you, please feel free to add your own style and flare! All photo boards are compliments of http://www.thedatingdivas.com/ for anyone who wanted to go looking for more ideas, you can also check Pinterest or Google image search:) Here are a few quick tips to take into consideration while choosing your wardrobe:
-Choose coordinating colors. A good start is picking a base color (a neutral color) and then choose 2-3 colors to make it pop. Don't be afraid to mix colors or patterns as long as they coordinate with one another, and remember that having the 3-4 colors is just a guide not everyone has to be wearing all of the colors.
-Don't wear any clothing with distracting logo's, brand names, or characters. Doing so only distracts the attention away from the subject, which then defeats the purpose of getting nice family photos done!
- Don't forget about footwear!! No one wants to see ratty old sneakers or flip flops in your photos! Remember a photo lasts a lifetime wear nice shoes! :)
-Layering or accessorizing is a great way to add not only dimension to your photos but your own style as well! Don't be afraid to wear that hat or scarf or jewelry! These photos are to showcase you and your family, so be unique, put your own flare into it!
- Last but not least wear something COMFORTABLE! If you or anyone on the family is uncomfortable in what they are wearing that discomfort is sure to show through in the photos.
Here are some fantastic visual aids for you :)
